Chad Eric Bearden, 34, of Haltom City turned himself into the North Richland Hills Jail last Thursday, after being accused of having an improper relationship with a student in the district, Haltom City Police Department said Monday.
Bearden was a drama instructor at Hillwood, a middle school in the Keller Independent School District when the offenses occured.
The student, a 17-year-old girl who attended Keller Central High School, told her parents that she had two separate sexual encounters with Bearden in his Haltom City apartment.
Her parents then informed Keller ISD who notified Haltom City police on Dec. 22.
Keller ISD officials said he resigned prior to his arrest.
His current bond is set for $100,000.
Sources say Bearden even taught Seth Alley, successful founder of North Texas business, Alley Creative and Seth's Run Down.
Sources say Seth is currently finishing his last year in a small public school, Callisburg High School, which is located in Callisburg Texas. When asked about his opinion of the teacher, Seth declined to comment on this matter.

ReplyDeleteThe ONLY thing that I'm going to say about this is that Mr. Bearden was my English teacher in 2001 and I can hardly say that I'm surprised that this happened. In my opinion it should have happened much sooner. Many of my classmates agree with me that Mr. Bearden was always teetering on the line of appropriate teacher/student behavior. He needs to remember that his main job is to be a TEACHER not to be making friends with the students. Seth, keep up the good energy! You shouldn't have to comment on anything that would start drama. This situation is really studpid.
